The Top Goalscorers In The 2017/18 UEFA Champions League So Far.

Cristiano Ronaldo currently leads the UEFA Champions League goalscoring chart, but the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar are hot on his heels – here are the top goalscorers in this season's competition so far.

The Portuguese began the new campaign in the same manner he finished the 2016/17 season. After scoring 10 goals in the last five games on Real's road to their successful title defence, Ronaldo has now netted five goals in three UCL games in 2017/18.

The 32-year-old shares the top spot with Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, who also struck five times in his first three matches.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani follows with four goals, while Sevilla's Wissam Ben Yedder has scored as many times.

Lionel Messi and Neymar are among nine players, including two Africans, who have scored three goals in the competition so far.

Ronaldo was the top scorer in 2007/08 with eight strikes, while Messi was the highest netting marksman between 2008/09 and 2011/12, scoring nine, eight, 12 and 14 goals, respectively, in those UCL campaigns.

The Los Blancos superstar then won the competition's Golden Shoe outright in 2012/13, 2013/14, 2015/16 and 2016/17, with 12, 17, 16 and 12 goals, respectively, and shared the award with Messi and Neymar, with 10 strikes, in the 2014/15 tournament.
