Carlo Ancelotti had 5 players against him - Bayern Munich president

- Bayern Munich sacked Carlo Ancelotti after clashing with five players

- He was not on good terms with Ribéry, Robben, TMüller, Hummels and Boateng

- Ancelotti was sacked after the 3 - 0 defeat to PSG in the Champions league.

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has revealed that Carlo Ancelotti was sacked because he did not have the backing of five of the most senior players of the team.

The Italian was given the boot after the Bayern Munich board held a meeting on Wednesday, September 27 night after the 3 - 0 loss to PSG.

It was decided that the former AC Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG coach was not the man to take the team forward.

Sport1 has now revealed details of how Ancelotti clashed with senior players which eventually led to his sack. Before the game against PSG, the Italian put a sheet with the names of the 11 players that will start and left without saying a word. Many were stunned and angry.

Jerome Boateng was told that he will be on the bench but he was surprised that he was not included in the squad. Carlo gave him no explanation.

Like in his previous teams, there was 'extreme dissatisfaction' with Carlo's training methods and intensity which were considered as not appropriate for a top team.

Five senior players have had enough of Carlo and it was basically a case of him or them: Frank Ribéry, Arjen Robben, Thomas Müller, Mats Hummels and Boateng.

The Bavarians have also announced that club legend Willy Sagnol will take charge of the club on an interim basis. Bayern have also endured a difficult start to the Bundesliga season, losing at Hoffenheim in their third match and being held to a 2-2 draw at home to Wolfsburg last Friday.
